Job Overview

The Director, Account Strategy of ACCSS (Amobee Cross Channel Strategic Solutions) is responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers who run the day-to-day operations for our customers in order to deliver a renowned customer experience. The ACCSS organization at Amobee supports customers across both ad agencies and brands who work with Amobee in either managed or self-service capacities. The team drives satisfaction, revenue, and stickiness on the Amobee Platform, increasing customer advocacy along the way. As a Director, you’ll build and execute a strategy for Account Management that aligns with the company’s vision. Proven experience managing teams and overseeing strategic pieces of business is required as is the need to successfully balance both the internal priorities of the company with the external needs of our clients and partners. You’ll build strong cross functional relationships with key stakeholders across our customer, sales, product, marketing, and business development teams and partner to build and operationalize strategic initiatives for our customers. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of our products and solutions as well as understand how we compare to the competition and fit into the marketplace overall. Passion, collaboration, and innovation are required to be successful in this role as you not only lead your team but drive forward many of the operational aspects of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of skilled Senior Account Managers who are responsible for the growth-driving interactions with customers throughout the campaign lifecycle; execute a renowned customer experience.
  • Identify areas for improvement across the company and work with senior leadership and operations teams to generate; create or redefine processes, educational needs, workflow streams, etc as the company continues to evolve and scale our business.
  • Retain and grow existing book of business with the team’s exceptional service and by recommending additional investment and product expansion opportunities with upsells.
  • Build strategies and action plans for your people, clients, and operations that focus on at least six months out in partnership with senior leadership and cross functional leads.
  • Have a deep understanding of Amobee’s products and features across multiple mediums. Recommend solutions to customers by tying it together with their objectives and challenges.
  • Prioritize continued education with your team by sharing industry trends, product enhancements, best practices, etc. Drive operational efficiencies and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the team and use information to identify larger themes and trends that need to be addressed. Responsible conflict resolution and for solving problems on a macro level. Accountable for any service related issue; escalate, track and resolve key client issues.
  • Foster a culture of team members being both helpful and inquisitive; teach them to ask questions and always work together to solve issues as a team. Share expertise across the team.
  • Establish communication channels and business processes necessary to effectively manage a growing team and client base. Scale growth by capitalizing on opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency by driving key automation and productivity initiatives.
  • Attend meetings with key customers when leadership voice and support is needed; support the team in all facets of client relations and service including planning, activating, reporting, calls and meetings, and troubleshooting.
  • Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in the advertising technology industry across client service/account management, ad operations and/or ad-related technical experience
  • 5+ years experience in Programmatic Media Activation is preferred
  • 3+ years experience in managing personnel with provide ability to lead, manage, and grow teams
  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Existing knowledge of programmatic space, insights, data exchanges or performance advertising and experience managing large advertising budgets ($100M+)
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify and prioritize critical issues
  • Excellent business writing, training, negotiation, communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Excellent project-management and time-management skills with proven ability to multi-task
  • Superior analytical skills and problem-solving abilities; ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics
  • Self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving startup environment
  • Emphatic interest in online advertising
  • Previous digital media sales planning is advantageous.
