Job Overview

As TV audiences’ fragment across a range of platforms and as viewing behaviours evolve, TV advertisers are grappling with how to continue making best use of their most trusted medium. Finecast was created to help solve this challenge! Finecast, a WPP company specialising in addressable TV, launched in the UK in September 2017.

Finecast are looking to hire a VP Client Engagement APAC who will play a critical role in driving Finecast’s client base and revenue growth and who will be responsible for navigating APAC’s largest media agencies in their TV transformation journeys. They’re responsible in the education of the addressable TV landscape and Finecast solutions for both GroupM clients. They will be working collaboratively with the local markets team to drive commercial outcomes and strategic partnerships.

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the APAC Investment Director and will also work very closely with the Global Chief Growth Officer

  • Measures of Success

    In three months:

    • Created consistent credentials for all local markets, aligned to the Finecast Global brand identity
    • Created ongoing pipeline of activity and tracking against targets
    • Presented to 3 regional clients on Addressable TV Landscape and opportunities

    In six months:

    • Hosted and led an APAC Engagement forum bringing together all teams across region
    • Established a working rhythm with the Global engagement community and the global growth team
    • Converted or helped local markets convert at least 10 new clients from traditional TV to addressable TV
    • Created 10 local case studies that can be championed across the region and the globe

    In twelve months:

    • Successfully contributed to agency pitch presentations showcasing the benefits of Finecast
    • Created strong relationships with global, regional and local clients and become trusted advisor to them on all things Addressable TV
    • Delivered on commercial and revenue targets for the region
    • Aligned client strategy to the Global Growth team

    Responsibilities of the role:

    Evangelise Finecast across the APAC markets

    • Educate and inspire clients regarding Addressable TV propositions and products
    • Ability to identify and establish senior level agency/brand/demand partner relationships and build a trusted ongoing partnership
    • Encourage inter-agency coordination, engage effectively and driving adoption of Finecast products whilst developing the business into other areas within the agencies e.g., closer coordination with comms planners, heads of insight, senior leadership
    • Support the Global Growth team and Global Chief Growth Office in Global pitches as necessary with advice, materials, fresh content and build collateral.
    • Participate at relevant industry events, forums, and panels

    Client Strategy & Planning

    • Work closely with agency partners to help build addressable TV into their client strategic framework, helping them to articulate a clear benefit of including Finecast in their “screens & TV strategy
    • Integrate the use of Finecast’s Household planning tools (FCAP) to understand, refine and develop data-driven addressable TV activations based on what their client is trying to achieve
    • Develop the measures of success for each client strategy and addressable TV activation you design with the client. Analyse and synthesise the data you have available to you and communicate your recommendations to the agency that glean insight and learnings that support your strategic recommendation
    • Work with the Global Engagement team to seamlessly implement Top 30 Global Client Strategies

    Revenue ownership & Commercial Acumen

    • Ensuring that new customer revenue goals (monthly/quarterly/annually) are achieved across the Finecast business, at both a regional and global level
    • Work with senior key stakeholders to ensure that Finecast products are adopted across all clients, and that the overarching Global Growth strategy is implemented across all APAC markets

    What you will need:

    • 10 years + TV/digital media sales experience/TV measurement/Agency Planning
    • Detailed understanding of TV & digital media marketplace and technology
    • Evidence of technical comfort and strong understanding of internet functionality
    • Strong background in commercial & client-facing roles
    • Ability to work independently with limited input once objectives have been set
    • Proven track record in commercial roles and in establishing high levels of client satisfaction
    • Team management – significant team management and development experience including line management and HR responsibilities (objective setting, performance reviews etc)
    • Pitch and senior level presentation experience.
