We are confident our platform will serve as the core infrastructure of the advertising ecosystem for years to come and we’re looking for people to help us achieve that. Soon we’ll be spreading this to more arenas where secure, privacy safe analysis while collaborating can bring value.

In August 2020, we raised a Series A round of funding from both venture and strategic industry leaders, including Upfront Ventures, IA Ventures, Akamai, Experian, Ascential, ITV and AT&T and are rapidly growing our customer base of blue-chip companies.

The Role

InfoSum is looking for a QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing Engineering team in the UK.

As a member of the wider QA practice you will work closely with your QA colleagues to ensure consistent application of best practice across the engineering team. You will also be embedded in one of our multidisciplinary product delivery teams supporting the product team to deliver features in a rapid agile process.

The role combines both broad QA and specific testing responsibilities including the definition of acceptance criteria and the development and execution of tests (primarily automated) - with the ultimate goal of helping the engineering team deliver reliable systems that meet the requirements and customer needs.

As well as working as part of a team, senior QA engineers will also have a heavier focus on improving quality across engineering when it comes to process and delivery. More senior QA team members will also be part of the ‘shift left’ team that enables the business to effectively drive the ideation phase and produce impactful documentation that supports the engineering team as early in the process as possible.


We primarily hire for aptitude not knowledge, although we would like to see prior experience in a QA role. You will be working with incredibly smart people who inspire you to learn and grow within your role. This is a cross-functional role that works across different engineering functions and the product team and we are looking for a person able to operate in both the technical implementation and requirements arenas.

We are looking for people with a genuine passion for ensuring the best quality deliverables for customers in a complex technical environment. You will be comfortable with prioritising your own work and communicating clearly with the team.


  • Organise and write supporting documents such as how-to manuals, use cases, workflows and FAQ pages for internal teams and customers
  • Lead sessions with relative stakeholders for driving process improvement and specific QA improvement across the engineering team
  • Create automated tests with industry standard tooling driving the application from the users perspective
  • Specify automated test cases for other members of your product team to deliver
  • Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Review product specification, feeding back insights to its creators and developers and capturing critical test requirements
  • Strong orientation toward problem solving with a systematic and managed approach
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple projects at once
  • Be a subject matter expert in InfoSum product offerings and be able to explain all technical aspects of products key stakeholders
  • Coordinate issue resolution efforts with other departments to ensure timely and efficient resolutions are met and customer satisfaction is upheld
  • Maintain proper tracking of problem resolution and conduct trend analysis for reference and management reporting
  • Troubleshoot and investigative to resolve technical issues
  • Support the Product Operations team by testing new features, and recreating defects if required

What we expect from you:

  • A minimum of 5 year’s industry experience with a degree in computer science or a related technical field being favoured.
  • Technically savvy, and able to pick up new technologies and technical concepts quickly.
  • Ability to understand complex information and communicate the information to people with diverse professional backgrounds
  • Strong organisational, self-starter, interpersonal, written and verbal presentation skills
  • A great listener
  • Ability to mentor more junior members of the team
  • Experience with revolutionising processes and practices to improve QA across a team

We’d love, but it’s not essential:

  • SQL experience
  • Understanding of connectivity and file transfer protocols and tools - e.g. SSH, SFTP, Cloud Storage (S3)
