Job Overview

Outbrain is looking for a Head of New Markets to join our team. This role will play a pivotal role in helping the company’s business organization grow into new markets through strategic alliances, partnerships, and other launch tactics.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated team player who will be the central figure leading detailed development and execution of the new market entry playbook, including deal negotiations, coordination of resources, timeline, and deliverables.
Reporting to VP Operations, the Head of New Markets will develop and manage the assessment process for potential new partners and geographies, prioritize expansion opportunities, and work alongside the relevant supporting functions to build a robust business infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is keen to create and implement a new expansion strategy for an innovative, results oriented global business. S/he will be comfortable with ambiguity, and skillfully build relationships that serve as significant revenue drivers for the company.

About The Role :

  • Conduct a global analysis to identify high-priority partners/locations for market launch. Lead deal construction and negotiations and serve as a focal point who is responsible for these markets within the company
  • Leverage and expand existing partnerships in relevant markets, both demand and supply, while responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), and project-managing revenue generating opportunities
  • Build Outbrain’s market entry handbook, introducing a lean and efficient market entry strategy that centralizes market needs: Total Addressable Market (TAM) and SWOT analysis, competitive landscape, market positioning, partner due diligence, thought leadership, lead generation, product launches, etc’
  • Lead the creation of dashboards and metrics to monitor market entry results, identify contingency triggers, and maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities
  • Develop and deliver high level impactful presentations and conclusions to senior management and key stakeholders


  • A “get things done” mindset, domain ownership and an entrepreneurial approach towards initiating and building relationships with prospective partners
  • 7+ years experience driving business growth through a combination of strategy & tactical execution. Demonstrable end-to-end expertise in managing the entire launch pipeline (from initial research and inquiries to relationship cultivation, sales and reporting)
  • A proven track record in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines, including tracking, prioritizing, and driving multiple concurrent projects to success
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the aptitude to think creatively with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity
  • Willingness to travel (Once back to pre-COVID capability)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
