Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and build the very foundation of our data warehouse and drive efficiencies for various stakeholders. You will actively participate in all stages of a feature or product’s life by working closely with fellow engineers and the product team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain our data warehouse with timely and quality data
• Build and maintain data pipelines from internal databases and SaaS applications
• Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation
• Plan and execute system expansion as needed to support the company's growth and analytic needs
• Collaborate with other functions to ensure data needs are addressed
• Understand and implement data engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews as both a reviewer and submitter
• Provide technical support to our internal and external users
• Ensure data availability for data analytics and reporting for business units to make data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Demonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses
• Hands-on experience implementing ETL best practices at scale
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools
• 2+ years working with Cloud vendors
• Enjoys collaborating with others and has excellent communication skills
• Ideally, someone with experience and skills in Java or a language of the JVM (Groovy, Scala, ...), Databases (Cassandra, SQL), Data processing frameworks (Spark, Elastic Stack)
• Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
