Job Overview

Technical Account Manager focuses on just that – managing accounts from a technical perspective. As the technical expert in the room, Tams are involved in pre-sales, product demonstrations, client on-boarding, scoping custom data solutions, expanding third party integrations, data monitoring, and collaborating with internal teams.

Tams are highly responsive, organized, professional in their communication, enjoy problem solving, and have an ordered and analytical approach. Tams should aspire to be a thought leader not only in Flashtalking’s platform, but also an industry expert across subject matters such as Attribution, Dynamic Creative Optimization, API Connections, Social, Video, Mobile Measurement, Identity Environments, Verification, First- and Third-Party data executions.

This role is perfect for a self-starter who has a passion for advertising and marketing technology, and generating creative, unique and technology-forward solutions for customer challenges.

Primary job functions

Client Relationships:

  • Act as a product and platform expert and share that expertise with customers and colleagues

  • Help set up data pipelines from DMPs, DSPs, onboarding, management, and QA

  • Maintain relationships with Product and Engineering, providing product feedback, leading product demonstrations and maintaining integrations with Third-Party platforms

  • Share industry knowledge via ongoing trainings

  • Work closely with Campaign Management and Account Management on daily client operations and analytics maintenance

  • Scope and build custom solutions utilizing Flashtalking and Partner APIs for greater operational efficiencies and product effectiveness, internally and externally

  • Help facilitate new business development relationships and expand and maintain current partnerships

  • Strive to be a Subject Matter Expert in various aspects of digital industry, owning the Flashtalking perspective, implementation and relationship

  • Identify ways to improve the operational effectiveness for the team, taking ownership of issues and improving the efficiency of the team and counterparts

  • Deliver new customer on-boarding training as well as ad hoc training on new features to ensure their self-sufficiency on our product

  • Scope, vet, and manage technical set-up as lead touchpoint for platform level integrations alongside engineering, product and integrations teams

skills & Experience

  • Excellent client facing skills and able to lead conversations with confidence.

  • A strong foundation on all things digital, specifically focused on ad operations, such as ad serving, dynamic creative, programmatic, data management, verification, attribution, operations, dataflow and processing pipelines, and reporting platforms

  • The ability and confidence to work autonomously as well as being an excellent team player

  • Engagement to own projects, in a variety of settings spanning across multiple team stakeholders

  • Familiarity with various ad-tech focused technologies such as APIs, verification, containers, and identity technology

  • An openness to learn and confidence to ask questions in a self-starter environment

  • A steadfastness to clear and concise communication, with the ability to translate potentially complicated technical situations to a variety of audiences, both internally and externally to stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to motivate and shift perspective in the interest of preserving relationships and communication
