The new team member’s role will involve supporting the build and design of digital ads for clients. Primarily helping creative agencies work with Flashtalking build tools and platform to build their digital ads, as well as giving practical advice and help by email, phone, or web conference.
Other responsibilities of this role include: creative QA, assessing and scoping feasibility of client designs for DCO, ad hoc client training face-to-face or web conference.
Training, both formal and ‘on-the-job’ practical experience will be given by our Studio Team Leader and Creative Services Manager. The job will quickly include the following:
Checking and performing quality assurance of HTML ad files provided by creative agencies. Providing detailed help and feedback on Flashtalking tools and coding.
Designing and building ad hoc creative/online ads when the client does not work with an existing creative agency.
Assessing and working with client designs and exporting assets required for creative production in the most optimal format.
Carrying out video encoding for Flashtalking video ads on behalf of creative agencies and supporting creative agencies in the build process of ads.
Developing a detailed understanding of new and innovative online advertising formats and opportunities.
HTML5 and CSS
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS at design and coding level. Examples of work will be needed.
Knowledge of best practices and web standards.
Must be able to work around cross browser/cross-device issues.
Knowledge of CSS animation techniques would be an advantage.
Comfortable writing code from scratch as well as analysing and adapting or amending code written by someone else.
Knowledge of animation techniques would be an advantage.
Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools and network traffic inspectors like Fiddler or Charles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
Attention to detail.
Professional written and spoken communication skills. Able to communicate about complex topics in a concise and clear style to people of varying technical abilities.
Able to handle a fast-paced environment and approach complexity with a level head.
Ability to work as a team, as well as independently.
Experience with ticketing or task management systems like Zendesk, JIRA or Asana.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate or After Effects. Or experience with digital design tools such as Sketch or Zeplin.
Experience in UX or UI design, or design in general.
Additional language, such as Mandarin
