Job Overview

The Managing Director will be responsible for working cross functionally with leaders across the organization to ensure a cohesive strategy for geographic and commercial expansion within the region. This expansion will specifically focus within holding company relationships in the market. This role is also responsible for hiring and developing talent to scale within a rapidly growing organization.


Planning and Organizing to Deliver Results

  • Accountability for forecasting, reforecasting and delivery of revenue, margin and gross profit
  • Management of the regional budget
  • Headcount planning: identification, organization, and hiring of resources
  • Objective setting: clearly defined, high quality objectives for the regional business
  • Creating succession plans and future organizational structures ahead of time
  • Working closely with regional trading lead and VP of Trading to ensure alignment of financial and client goals and objectives

Formulating Strategy & Opportunity

  • Thought leadership in the programmatic industry and the wider space
  • Identifying & developing positive and compelling visions of the region’s future opportunities
  • Setting and developing the region’s strategy to meet client needs
  • Identifying new business opportunities and quantifying the financial opportunity
  • Communicating the regional vision and strategy to direct reports and to the rest of the Executive team, keeping everyone aligned and informed
  • Delegating and prioritizing workload to guarantee maximum impact

Relating & Networking

  • Building and maintaining wide and effective networks of contacts outside of the business
  • Creating strong business relations with stakeholders at all levels inside the organization
  • Influencing central departments to attain the strategic plan and deliver results
  • Harnessing strategic knowledge of the landscape to relate and negotiate with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Capability to broker large scale deals: up to 7 figures

Leading & Supervising

  • Being the regional ambassador for the direction of the US business
  • Providing clear and concise communication around the business direction to the entire region
  • Setting appropriate standards of behavior and modeling those behaviors
  • Providing staff with development opportunities and coaching on a regular basis
  • Performance management and expectation for senior sellers and RVPs
  • Setting KPIs/OKRs for sales, and working with department leads to do the same for regional CS and Solutions teams.

Deciding and Initiating action

  • Making prompt, clear decisions - involving tough choices and considered risks
  • Taking initiative, acting with confidence, and working under your own direction
