Job Overview

The Corporate Counsel is responsible for legal coverage for Amobee’s online advertising and technology products and related company initiatives. Position includes reviewing, advising on and negotiating contracts for Amobee’s sales, business, product, engineering teams. The role includes maintaining the company’s compliance with privacy laws and other laws applicable in the U.S. and globally, as well as self-regulatory codes of conduct for the online advertising industry. Additional tasks include advising on intellectual property agreements for business units around the world, corporate governance and compliance for legal entities worldwide, acquisition agreements and due diligence in connection therewith. Responsibility for public company reporting, as applicable.

  • Provides legal counsel and support to Amobee’s sales, business, product, engineering teams. Counsels on a broad range of legal issues related to Amobee products and initiatives.
  • Possesses expertise in one or more legal specialties (Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Negotiating Commercial Transactions).
  • Collaborates with the Legal team and other stakeholders within the company to achieve business objectives and mitigate legal risks.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Experience with due diligence and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Improving efficiency of corporate legal department workflow.
  • Other duties responsibilities as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

  • JD and member of a state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years combined experience with a law firm and corporate legal department.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate creative solutions to accomplish the company’s objectives.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and operations personnel, simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high quality work product.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with legal issues particular to the advertising industry (including rules by trade bodies such as the NAI, DAA, IAB etc. and privacy regulations by the EU, US, etc.) and technology companies
  • CIPP certification
