Job Overview

The Head of Sales Training will be an integral part of our 2022 growth plan, reporting directly into our U.S. Head of Sales. In this role, you will help develop the strategy to up-skill our sellers by building/ creating content, organizing and often delivering training programs across the sales organization. Your primary objectives will be to decrease the time it takes for new sellers to ramp and to improve sales productivity by helping existing sellers build their skill-set, product knowledge and overall success. You will be a player/coach with an opportunity to hire a sales trainer to join your team.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with Head of US Sales and key business stakeholders/ department leads to understand business needs/ changes and desired learning outcomes
  • Create and implement a training roadmap of structured learning activities utilizing in-person and remote training techniques, along with e-learning modules
  • Build on existing onboarding training, solicit feedback and improve approach to training new Ogury sales employees with a full 12-month calendar, inclusive of assessments and certifications
  • Assess knowledge gaps of sales teams and create custom training plans based on that learning
  • Create dynamic, effective and engaging training and e-learning materials, manuals and visual aids to train the team
  • Consistently evaluate retention of training materials to refine and improve approach
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing, Customer Success, AdOps, Insights, Product, People, Finance, etc. to understand new news, knowledge gaps and priorities; coordinate trainings accordingly across business partners
  • Strike the right balance between leading trainings yourself and utilizing business partners/ subject matter experts
  • Evaluate external training tools and provide recommendations on best platforms to drive continuous, relevant industry learning
  • Work with FP&A and Sales Ops to measure sales impact of training platform
  • Improve call coachingHire, train and develop a sales trainer on your team

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in digital media and/ or learning and development (prior sales experience a plus)
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising and mobile ecosystem, adtech, attribution and measurement, competitive landscape, programmatic, etc
  • Experience with creating, maintaining and/ or delivering training content in a fast-moving tech area
  • Excellent presentation skills and comfort with executive-level interaction
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task effectively while considering future organizational requirements
  • Proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude and embraces turning ambiguity into certainty
  • Understanding of sales life cycle and successful sales approaches a major plus
