As the Learning & Development Manager, you will drive the design, development, and implementation of innovative, creative, high-impact learning strategies to drive outstanding business performance for the APAC region. This is a new role for the Australian market and there is scope to really make this role your own.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery

  • Conducting ongoing needs analysis and data reviews to ensure talent development initiatives are value-add
  • Re-imagine the APAC Onboarding process to create a seamless, energising experience for all new joiners and setting them up for success in the business
  • Rapidly proto-type and create new programs, initiatives and materials to be rolled out across APAC
  • Independently facilitating programs in both the virtual and in-person spaces; confidently speaking in front of crowds of all seniority and size
  • Gathering and evaluating outcome data to analyse program/content performance and effectiveness and adjusting as necessary

Project Management

  • Scoping and planning projects based on needs analysis and internal data (i.e., engagement survey results, performance metrics, etc.)
  • Managing vendor relationships, including conducting initial research and scoping for outside trainers and coaches
  • Coordinating resources/support to ensure on-time delivery of content/programs
  • Monitoring talent development costs, aligning with approved budgets

Collaboration

  • Actively proposing ideas to regional and global talent leadership for the formulation of long-term training and talent initiatives
  • Partnering with marketing and internal communications teams to ensure clear messaging and program rollouts
  • Proactively sharing updates and information with team mates and stakeholders
  • Working with internal stakeholders, building relationships and working across differences to find solutions

Communication

  • Conducting rapid audience analysis (“reads the room”) and adjusts style in real-time to have the most impact
  • When presenting, integrating stories to personalise content for the audience, driving deeper learning
  • Using data to support suggestions, "make the case for change," and provide meaningful context to decision-makers
  • Crisp and clear communication to external partners/clients or internal stakeholders

Innovation

  • Actively contributing suggestions for new and/or bold methods to solve challenges and address needs
  • Researching and learning about cutting-edge or previously-untested approaches for talent development
  • Keeping informed on learning & talent management best practices

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with a focus on Learning & Development
  • Experience working in Programmatic and/or the Digital advertising industry highly beneficial
  • Effective understanding and articulation of complex ideas and transferring knowledge to internal or external stakeholders
  • Experience building content for virtual and online environments
  • Experience with high-potential development programs and methods for identifying key talent
  • Willingness and ability to conduct administrative detail work (i.e., data entry & analysis) with high accuracy
  • Proven critical-thinking and analysis skills and the ability to use data to develop insights and strategies
  • Track record of designing, developing, and implementing talent management initiatives on an organisation-wide level

  • Ability to coach and guide new and junior managers/leaders
  • Able to flex mid-stream as needed to meet shifting business needs and approaches
  • Demonstrates cultural humility when working with multiple stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and countries
