Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior-level Engineer to extend our current platform and expand its offerings. You will have the opportunity to work on our core ad exchange product suite that handles billions of requests/day, and processes terabytes of data/hour. Our innovative platform works with all major advertising exchanges and demand partners to help thousands of publishers monetize their content with the most relevant ads.

You will have the opportunity to create thoughtful, well-architected solutions that address some of the greatest challenges in advertising technology today. We are looking for engineers who have a passion for building scalable products, strong software design skills, and a desire to learn from, mentor, and teach your peers.

You Will

• Collaborate across teams to extend and maintain the JavaScript libraries and applications that make up our current consumer and publisher experience.
• Integrate with third-party platforms and services to pull in auxiliary content, services, and data.
• Tackle performance bottlenecks and drive improvements to our backend and frontend infrastructure.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry news in search of opportunities to improve the performance, reliability, and overall value of our solutions.
• Share software development best practices with the team and mentor junior engineers.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

• 5+ years of experience in software development with at least 4 years of experience creating responsive, full-stack JavaScript applications.
• Strong knowledge of ES6+ and Node.js.
• Thorough understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, and asynchronous and event-driven development.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies (TDD, BDD) and experience writing unit and functional tests.
• Passion for code analysis, debugging, and benchmarking.
• Experience with Linux CLI, one or more scripting languages, and SQL.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Bonus Points

• Experience with big data analysis (HiveSQL, MapReduce, Spark).
• Experience with a cloud service provider, such as Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with in-memory NoSQL databases (Redis, Aerospike, ArangoDB).
• Experience with build tools like Gulp/Webpack.
• Experience with working or building a CI/CD model.
• Prior familiarity with advertising technology.
