Job Overview

The Global Operations team is pivotal to delivering success across our global business. The team is responsible for the delivery of some of our most critical initiatives aimed at simplifying workflow, introducing automation and AI to general business practice and consolidate and build on the collective expertise of our programmatic practitioners.

Split between New York and London, the team consists of a) operational excellence specialists that work with markets and global clients to drive operational maturity and business process excellence and b) engineering experts focused on workflow automation and c) global partnership leads who help to ensure that we are driving the industry forward through maximising our strategic partnerships.

The Global Off-shoring Manager reports into the Senior Director of Operational Excellence and is London based. Xaxis is growing at a fast pace, and in order to maintain our excellent standards of delivery and support the increasing demand we are looking to extend our operational resources by leveraging an off-shored team. The Global Off-shoring Manager will optimise the way in which local and regional practitioners access GroupM’s off-shored resources, helping manage the supply and demand of the off-shored roles. The role will work closely with our regional Operations leads, the Global Solutions team and GroupM Services leads to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our programmatic campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with our regions and top 12 markets on how they intend to scale whilst driving efficiency and effectiveness through off-shoring.
  • Project manage the set-up of off-shored teams of around 100 practitioners to support our global business needs. Keeping all regional and global stakeholders informed of progress against project milestones.
  • Help ensure that country workload demand is matched to the capacity of the off-shored team and ensuring the off-shored team’s capacity is visible.
  • Assure off-shored team has the skills and knowledge to deliver to Xaxis’ Excellence Standards. Monitor and highlight any discrepancies against excellence standards to allow the off-shored team to rectify.
  • Ensure workflow processes are in place to allow the clear and timely communication between off-shored teams and their onshore counterparts.
  • Work with GroupM Services and the Global Operations Engineering team to deliver tools to help monitor the workflow between on- and off-shored resources.
  • Provide point of escalation for excellence queries from regions and markets.
  • Monitor the utilisation rates of markets, identifying under-utilisation issues and helping drive successful resolutions.
  • Establish partnership with regional operations teams to solicit feedback that will help determine the optimum structure of the off-shored team.
  • Be a strong advocate of our Xaxis values and mission statements, driving the team to show collaboration, innovation, and passion.

Requirements /

Essential Skills & Experience

A deep understanding and demonstrable experience in the following areas is imperative:

  • Strong technical background with understanding of the programmatic landscape and hands-on experience with programmatic platforms and tools.
  • Proven operational experience within an adtech environment.
  • Direct experience of real-time bidding, ad-serving, the roles of DSPs & SSPs and targeting is preferred.
  • Demonstrable involvement in developing, improving and rolling out operational frameworks and processes.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve strategy based on research, data and industry.
