The role objectives

The Senior Platform Analyst is an exciting new role within the Product, Data and Analytics team, supporting the development and implementation of platforms, projects and processes to ensure optimal operational performance and output. This role will be the connecting link between the internal users of various technical platforms along with the Product and Analytics team. It will require the use analytical techniques to interpret key findings from data, providing insights and best practice training to both the technical and commercial departments across Finecast.

Key responsibilities

Provide data driven insights that will help drive increases within core business goals.

  • Create quantitative and qualitative analyses and ad hoc reporting to support both internal teams and business needs
  • Create and present compelling insights and recommendations to key stakeholder teams, who could be both technical and nontechnical users.
  • Utilise expertise to collaborate on internal and cross-department analytical projects
  • Data model maintenance and enhancements. Including building new models where necessary to support the analytics required.
  • Working with our Product team to support product releases and developments process, including being part of any testing and initial feedback gathering
  • Creating documentation and creating best practice guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new product features

Candidate requirements

The following skills and attributes will be required:

  • Strong Analytical and Problem[1]solving mindset
  • Excellent numerical competency
  • Practical experience in SQL, BigQuery or similar
  • The ability to analyse and condense large amounts of data into persuasive insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven communication skills – both written and verbal, to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast paced environment. And efficiently and effectively keep projects on track.
  • Python or other programming skills advantageous
  • Knowledge of the media advertising ecosystem, with TV advertising advantageous
