In keeping with the continued growth and maturity of our business, IPONWEB seeks an experienced business development professional to establish and develop incremental commercial engagements with performance agencies and direct response advertisers.

Performance Media Sales will play a vital role in the continued growth of our innovative business in what we measure as Directed Spend Growth. Serving as the commercial point of contact for new & existing Performance prospects from various demand verticals.

The expectation is for the Sales Manager to primarily prospect Performance opportunities following the outreach strategy as it has been provided in supporting materials. The strategy will include specific pre-qualified businesses to target and more directional guidance for broader expansion. Additionally, you will be encouraged to submit any other pertinent unnamed opportunities for qualification as your conversations in the market advance.

This role will evangelize IPONWEB performance solutions and generate revenue towards it. The role will also require collaboration across internal teams across different business units and functions. The Performance Media Salesperson is expected to lead and manage new business execution from proposal to activation, before handing over to the client services team for ongoing management.

The ability to grasp and translate deep technical concepts and capabilities into clear product and business propositions is critical to this role. This position also requires the ability to professionally structure, manage, and communicate all aspects of an engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver on assigned quarterly revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at performance agencies and direct response clients; be the voice of IPONWEB at these partners and ensure IPONWEB is top of mind
  • Develop and implement tactics to increase programmatic revenue, including evangelism, education and partnership with key ad tech players in the assigned territory, with the goal of familiarizing them with IPONWEB’s advertising technology solutions and positioning
  • Assess and understand the performance landscape, develop strong client and prospect relationships, create relationship maps and subsequent engagement plans
  • Partner with Performance Agency Client Services and Marketing to maximize incremental revenue growth through the Performance Media vertical
  • Prepare and facilitate pre-sales client workshops, as necessary, to define detailed business requirements and processes
  • Determine upsell/cross sell opportunities within established client base
  • Manage opportunities and revenue outlook in internal tools, including: Pipeline Forecast & Salesforce
  • Provide input on market requirements for new products and product innovation.
  • Represent IPONWEB at relevant industry summits and networking events to develop/mature pipeline

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Programmatic Advertising Technologies (Ad Exchanges, Deal IDs, RTB, DSPs, DMPs, SSPs, etc.) with a strong preference toward candidates who have experience selling solutions to major Performance Agencies and Direct Response advertisers.
  • Proven track record selling technology and technology-based solutions to agencies & digital marketers
  • Effective “quarterback” with experience leading and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders throughout the client acquisition life cycle, including: qualification, solution development, proposal and pricing, negotiations, contracting, establishment, and renewal
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative background with experience developing winning solution strategies and supporting business cases
  • Extensive exposure to the advertising industry, online media trading, advertising technology solutions, and ad network business models, together with industry relationships commensurate with the seniority of this position.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills who can convert our capabilities into clear, concise and compelling benefits for prospective customers
  • Self-starter with ability to produce under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable passion for learning new technologies
