The team is made up of an expanding team of 100+ (growing to over 250+ in 2022) spanning Engagement, Operations, Client Services, Marketing, Business Operations, Finance and Product, Data & Analytics functions.

The role objectives

Finecast is currently live in six markets - UK, Australia, USA, Canada, Germany and Indonesia with eleven further market launches planned for 2022.

The Global Marketing Director will work collaboratively with the Global Marketing team to establish Finecast as the pioneer and leader in addressable TV, ensuring our brand integrity is maintained and represented globally as we continue to launch markets at scale.

There will be three core areas of focus;

1) SYSTEMS: Be the guardian for the external website and our internal Global Portal. Work closely with global markets to keep the Portal up to date with the latest news and documents. Work with internal stakeholders and the external web development agency to progress the Portal technically and functionally.

2) CONTENT: Own the editorial calendar for the business, curate and create articles and thought leadership to be published internally and externally. Be across global trade press and highlight opportunities to contribute to trending news.

3) CRM: Work with local markets to develop and execute on client engagement programs through Hubspot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage third parties to deliver timely external website rebuild and launch ensuring close collaboration with key stakeholder groups.
  • Create new local websites in line with new market launches – manage translation/localisation of pages and assets.
  • Build an editorial calendar in line with our global comms plan with content for the internal Global Portal and thought leadership for our external website with input from GroupM Specialty Businesses (GSB) and GroupM Marketing.
  • Deliver content that strikes the right balance between Brand and Industry focused communications, bringing a human voice to technically complex articles.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to contribute to topical conversations within target publications.
  • Analyse and research global market trends, curate and distribute industry news internally on the Global Portal.
  • Ideate and contribute to thought leadership articles, blogs and social posts.
  • Create and execute an email marketing program, supporting the markets where required and measure and report on success.
  • Contribute to presentations for external speaking opportunities and events.
  • Work closely with group marketing contacts to be a brand guardian for Finecast, ensuring our business tone of voice is used throughout all written content and all supporting visuals in line with our brand guidelines.

The role will be divided into:

40% editorial focus

Special attention will be given to the applicant’s experience in writing thought leadership articles, blogs and presentations. Preferential candidates will have experience within an agency and able to manage and adapt TOV for a variety of stakeholders, as well as having a familiarity with global agency trade press.

30% systems focus

Extra consideration will be paid to those that have solid experience in managing CRM systems, CMS systems and launching websites. The candidate must be technically astute and able use Wordpress, Hubspot, Stripo.

30% marketing engagement programs Since the creation of our email marketing templates, the markets are becoming increasingly keen to communicate externally with their agencies, partners and clients. To foster and encourage this, we need dedicated support that can assist in writing, creating and sending marketing engagement programs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Substantial experience working in a marketing role in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to influence as well as work collaboratively
  • Strong copywriting skills – able to translate complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand solutions
  • Highly organised, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Team player with experience of working with international remote teams
  • Strong project management skills – able to manage internal stakeholders and keep third party suppliers to key deliverables and timely
  • Bright, charismatic, inspirational with the ability to win credibility internally
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing computer software and online applications is highly regarded e.g. Wordpress, CRM tools (Salesforce and Hubspot), online analytics (Google Adwords)
  • Passion for the TV industry and its best practices
  • Can-do-mentality and excellent execution skills, with a willingness to “roll-up-your-sleeves” and get things done
