Job Overview

As the Compensation Manager you will join our Total Rewards team reporting to our Sr. Director, Total Rewards and be responsible for our compensation programs and manage relationships across the organization. You will roll up your sleeves and work hands-on with our People Business Partner team and managers to implement our compensation review cycles, review job offers, and conduct compensation analyses, while simultaneously providing input into the strategic direction of our global Compensation strategy, philosophy, programs, policies, and initiatives. You will also partner closely with other members of the People team to educate the organization on Compensation at NextRoll.

This role is open in our San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City offices, or remote.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Use analytical skills combined with strong communication skills to present compensation insights and recommendations to stakeholders in all parts of the business
  • Partner with department leaders, People Business Partners and recruiters to address compensation related matters such as offers, promotions, and internal transfers
  • In partnership with the Sr. Director, Total Rewards, lead the design, delivery and administration of NextRoll’s company-wide annual merit and mid-year review cycles
  • Manage compensation market pricing and benchmarking efforts to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and alignment to the company's Compensation philosophy
  • Build and implement manager and employee compensation communication materials. Conduct Manager and People team training and educational sessions.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director, Total Rewards to develop new compensation program initiatives or improve current processes and then assist in driving the change management and communication efforts associated with implementation

Skills you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience and increasing levels of responsibility in the design and management of compensation programs and policies.
  • Demonstrated compensation expertise in several areas of Compensation - job matching and market pricing, incentive compensation, equity operations, job architecture, etc.
  • Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills with the ability to effectively envision and develop repeatable models, and tell compelling and easy to follow stories from data
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate and explain compensation philosophy, program design, and recommendations effectively with all personas of the organization
  • You think about how to work smarter, with a focus on simple, scalable and automated processes
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs that can work successfully both independently and within a highly collaborative team
