About the Job

Overall, the Head of People will be responsible for fostering and nurturing a talented, kind happy and effective workforce within the company. They will be an active and effective member of the Leadership Team, ensuring the prioritisation of talent acquisition and retention at the highest levels within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver initiatives centred around enhancing the overall employee experience.
  • Act as the custodian of the company values and actively work to protect and enhance the company culture.
  • Support managers and team leaders in delivering progression plans and training for their teams.
  • Gather and respond to employee feedback on a regular basis. Support and enable a culture of continuous feedback and improvement within Good-Loop.
  • Lead talent recruitment. Whether working with recruiters or identifying great talent through our own networks and channels, the Head of People will work closely with department heads to ensure we have a diverse and brilliant selection of candidates for all open roles. They will also take ownership of the recruitment process, to maintain momentum.
  • Ensure that all new recruits receive a smooth and effective induction and feel supported throughout the onboarding process.
  • Maintain a full suite of employee policies and act as the go-to expert for any HR questions or issues.
  • Develop a trusting relationship with all members of the Good-Loop team, being highly accessible and supportive.

  • Excellent communication skills in order to effectively communicate strategic decisions to the management team, customers, suppliers and partners. They must have strong active listening skills, as well as the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with people of all skill levels and abilities.
