Job Overview

The Technical Project Manager is a brand-new role and will support the Finecast Global Product team in managing key initiatives that require dedicated project ownership, support, and coordination. The role will report to the Global Programme Director and will work with the entire Product team across Product Development, Platform Development and Product Solutions. The role is based in the UK.

Project work will include supporting the setup and implementation of new market launches worldwide, mapping out and optimising business processes, and project managing technology and business initiatives. The work will be varied according to current product priorities, so an appetite for change and an ability to take the initiative is important.

Typically, the role will focus on 3-4 major priority projects driven centrally which will be reviewed on a regular basis with the Global Programme Director. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, working effectively across teams and be able to organise complex product workstreams into a clear set of actions.

The successful candidate will be working closely with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the Finecast Global organisation and build strong relationships across the business in a remote-hybrid work environment.

The key areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

  • Rollout and maintenance of SaaS platform and service desk-based platform at a global level including user adoption
  • Product roadmap support including scoping and requirement gathering
  • Release management of product features, including documentation, communications, and marketing
  • Stakeholder engagement for feature requirement gathering and UAT coordination
  • Build out project plans with key stakeholders to hit objectives
  • Manage initiatives to ensure that they are delivered on time and that stakeholders are held accountable for their deliverables
  • Support product team communication and engagement, chair meetings and document actions and agreements
  • Management of touchpoints, meetings, and comms between third parties such as our software vendors and development partners
  • Maintain agreed project communications, trackers, and boards
  • Track and update Opex / Capex spend and financial documentation across product initiatives
  • Oversee the development of project deliverables and chase deadlines
  • Identify and manage project issues, escalating to the correct person where appropriate
  • Assess and manage risk within and across multiple projects
  • Ad hoc requests to support the Global Product team

Knowledge and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in influencing without authority and a strong ability to affect organisational change. Strong organisation and project management skills are important as well as natural inquisitiveness. The candidate will be curious about digging into problem areas and interested in finding solutions. A team player but also comfortable working autonomously and productively.

  • Solid experience in project management (or related position)
  • Experience in a technology-driven organisation
  • Proven track record managing complex projects in a product/operations team
  • Multi-market experience managing projects; a bonus, but not essential
  • PRINCE2 / Scrum Master / Agile certification; a bonus
  • A passion for the role of people and organisation transformation
  • Comfortable chairing sessions with multiple stakeholders including senior management, querying actions and probing the general understanding of the group
  • Versatility to adapt skills/behaviours/attitude to enable successful working outcomes in unfamiliar environments
  • Bring energy and passion to your work
  • A keen eye for identifying and analysing efficiency opportunities, particularly relating to core business processes and user workflow
  • Excellent MS Office skills
