Job Overview

Outbrain is seeking an Affiliate Account Manager to play a key role within the APAC Account Management team. The role can be based from either our Singapore or Sydney (AU) office, servicing our affiliate and performance clients across the APAC region. The Account Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for existing and new affiliates that are seeking to utilise Outbrain’s global network to grow their business, with emphasis on performance buyers in various verticals.

As an Affiliate Account Manager you will serve both as an expert in the Outbrain platform, and as a specialist on conversion-oriented content marketing. You will use these skills to assist key clients in building their native advertising strategy, and build a trusted partnership with them to succeed and grow.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for affiliate and performance clients and help them monitor and manage ROI-positive activity: Review and consult regarding content & funnels, campaign setup, strategy and optimisation

  • Be an originator of ideas and initiatives that can improve performance and help clients scale

  • Meet and consult regularly with clients to get a clear picture of performance, plans and priorities

  • Identify strategic opportunities and upsell against them

  • Carry out kickoff calls and manage the onboarding process for new clients

  • Educate clients about best practices, provide actionable data-driven insights from our extensive internal resources to help clients test, scale and succeed

  • Interfaces with other departments internally: Content, Product, Adops and Demand Technical Solutions

Preferred Background

  • 2-3+ years experience in planning or managing digital media with emphasis on performance activity. Experience in native platforms – a plus

  • Candidates with experience working for digital platform companies or with affiliate marketers are also suitable

  • Passionate about marketing, digital media and turning data into actionable insights


  • Analytical and data-driven with the ability to monitor and identify trends in performance

  • Ability to execute efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced technological environment

  • Effective time-management and organisational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications – An Advantage

  • Client Service/Account Management experience

  • Experience with BI, data analysis and reporting systems

  • Experience with tracking software systems

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and xpath – advantage
