Our Solutions team covers two distinct but complementary remits: Solution Consultancy and Solution Engineering. Our Solution Consultants are responsible for technical presales, analytics and tech strategy for our clients, and Solution scoping. Our Solution Engineers are the technical experts responsible for delivering custom solutions and progressing our client’s programmatic maturity. These two roles work hand in hand to deliver results.

We are a team designed to support our most strategic clients beyond programmatic media activation, through solving their most pertinent business challenges with advanced analytics projects and technical solutions. You will join a unique and talented team, and have the opportunity to engage with and learn from all functions across MiQ such as sales, trading, account management, product, engineering, and data science. We are responsible for building differentiated solutions that drive both programmatic performance and sustainable marketing intelligence establishing us true client partners.

The Solutions Consultant role at MiQ

We are looking for a strategic and critical thinker, who is able to identify the right opportunities to apply advanced analytics, and meet clients’ needs with technical solutions. Using analytics and technology you’ll help establish MiQ’s differentiated media and tech solutions as the most connected, insightful and actionable across the entire programmatic landscape.

You will operate in partnership with our Solutions Engineers, and be both technically and commercially minded working to:

  • Drive sustainable growth objectives through establishing long term strategic partnerships.
  • Support delivery of strategic partnership projects to drive successful results and renewals.
  • Working predominantly on our London agency business, your time will be spent scoping and pitching custom solutions to our clients using MiQ technology, data science, and data sets; developing new solution proof of concepts which deliver growth, and identifying market opportunities where MiQ can develop market leading solutions.

    To deliver on this, you’ll need to be a technical expert partnering with sales on strategic growth initiatives, committed partnerships, training and communication, and actively engaging with key customers all to ensure both the commercial and technical strategies align.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Scoping requirements
      • Support Sales and extended key commercial team members to critically assess and qualify solution opportunities for our key accounts, developing technical and strategic solutions plans for these accounts
      • Lead internal and external discussions to gain a thorough understanding of client requirements and MiQ’s ability to solve client challenges
      • Innovate on new and exciting ways to explore commercial challenges for a broad set of clients and within market leading trends
    • Internal collaboration
      • Collaborate; work seamlessly with solution engineers to ensure smooth solution rollout from proof of concept to project delivery
      • Training; upskilling our commercial functions on our custom solutions offering and ensuring appropriate resources are available
      • Prioritise; collaborate with engineering, product, business analytics and commercial teams to inform our catalogue of solutions, infrastructure priorities and roadmaps.
      • Support; Assist in sales stages such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof of concept presentations (POC), RFP responses & business justification in a technical pre-sales capacity.
    • Client communication
      • Inspiring and engaging our clients with the value of our custom solutions through compelling storytelling and pitching
      • Building rapport with clients – capable of flexing communication style with varying roles and levels across a client team
      • Consulting with existing clients to help them to enhance their existing MiQ solutions and answer their business challenges
    • Entrepreneurial & Commercial thinking
      • Staying on top of programmatic trends, and identifies ways to apply latest developments to MiQ Solutions
      • Consider how Solutions at MiQ are seen in the industry, proactively position us in the market as a leader
      • Assess gaps in the market and research technological advances in order to keep MiQ at the forefront in the market

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • 2-4 years of experience in a related field
    • Experience in project management and strategy a plus
    • Strong analytics and problem solving skills - experience working with both technical (data science, data engineering, analysis) and commercial functions is a plus
    • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment with a focus on problem solving and attention to detail
    • Ideal candidates will have come from a programmatic industry background

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Basic SQL skills. Some understanding of Python and R is beneficial but not essential
    • Computer science background and any data engineering knowledge is a benefit
    • Attention to detail and the ability to proactively solve problems
    • Desire to build innovative technical solutions that support programmatic maturity
    • Curiosity and an interest in ongoing media and ad-tech developments and broader digital marketplace trends
    • Alignment with MiQ's core values/culture
