QA Analyst

We primarily hire for aptitude not knowledge, although we would like to see prior experience in a QA role. You will be working with incredibly smart people who inspire you to learn and grow within your role. This is a cross-functional role that works across different engineering functions and the product team and we are looking for a person able to operate in both the technical implementation and requirements arenas.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the QA function at Shift left/Design meetings throughout the SDLC and advise on testing approaches for non-functional and functional requirements.
• Organise and write supporting documents such as how-to manuals, use cases, workflows and FAQ pages for internal teams and customers.
• Support the QA function in sessions with relative stakeholders for driving process improvement and specific QA improvement across the engineering team.
• Advise and contribute to strategic conversations with the QA Manager and stakeholders around QA best practice and direction of the QA Roadmap.
• Create automated tests with industry standard tooling driving the application from the users perspective.
• Perform non-functional testing such as: Performance, scaling, security for both TDD / BDD.
• Curate multiple test packs related to the build pipeline. E.g. Regression packs.
• Specify automated test cases for other members of your product team to deliver.
• Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Review product specification, feeding back insights to its creators and developers and capturing critical test requirements.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple projects at once.
• Be a subject matter expert in InfoSum product offerings and be able to explain all technical aspects of products key stakeholders.
• Coordinate issue resolution efforts with other departments to ensure timely and efficient resolutions are met and customer satisfaction is upheld.
• Maintain proper tracking of problem resolution and conduct trend analysis for reference and management reporting.
• Troubleshoot and investigative to resolve technical issues.
• Support the Product Operations team by testing new features, and recreating defects if required.

Capabilities and knowledge we would need from you:

• A minimum of 5 year’s industry experience with a degree in computer science or a related technical field being favoured.
• Non-Functional Testing experience across both TDD and BDD.
• Ability to refine testable requirements.
• Supporting business acceptance criteria.
• Able to create DDD models (with Architecture).
• Help align the teams on a Global Glossary.
• Champion process improvement / quality projects.

We’d love, but it’s not essential:

• SQL experience.
• Understanding of connectivity and file transfer protocols and tools - e.g. SSH, SFTP, Cloud Storage (S3).
• Knowledge around data science.
