About you:

We are looking for a driven, motivated individual with an analytical mind-set. You will have a keen interest in Data Science and a passion for delivering business changing insights. We prioritise aptitude not knowledge, although we would like to see experience of solving large or complex problems with creative data driven solutions. We will also be looking for the following capabilities:

• Strong communication skills, experience working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical results to stakeholders.
• Ability to support teams, with varied strengths, in translating between business and data in the design of project work, and in the synthesis and communication of recommendations and results.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and manage results.
• High standards regarding data security and privacy practices.

About the role:

This role is part of the Data Science team who operate within the core technology function in InfoSum. You will work closely with the domain area specialists to improve, optimise and validate the core capabilities of the InfoSum Platform. You will also manage bespoke data driven projects to support stakeholders with individual experiment needs and define success metrics in close collaboration with the core tech team and analysts to help evaluate and communicate experiment insights to relevant stakeholders.

We utilise the most up to date tech stacks, and the ability to synchronise with teams working across the some of the following would be extremely beneficial:

• Frontend - React, Typescript, Node.JS, HTML / CSS, Jest, Cypress, Express.js and Git
• Backend - Go, Protobuf, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka and Docker
• Deployment - Kubernetes and Ansible to various cloud providers including AWS / Azure / IBM Cloud

You will attend regular team stand-ups to discuss completed work and ongoing projects. You will teach other members of the data science team new tricks and learn from them as well, taking on board feedback, including reviews of your code. You will be comfortable exploring data to visualise and explain hypotheses and models.
