Legal Counsel

Outbrain is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide support to our US operations and international Legal Team. You will be supporting Outbrain’s global business and work on complex and high profile agreements and projects. This is an exciting opportunity for practical-minded legal counsel with an interest in tech.

What you'll be doing

• Advising on a varied range of complex, high profile and business critical matters including US employment law, commercial agreements and ad hoc corporate matters
• Applying effective risk management techniques and offering proactive advice on possible legal issues
• Considering stakeholder concerns and spotting legal issues
• Thinking “outside of the box” to come up with practical and innovative solutions to problems
• Supporting innovation and use of technology to simplify and improve the provision of legal services
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with different business units
• Engaging with, and supporting, other lawyers across the international group
• Communicating and negotiating with business partners and external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.)
• Giving accurate and timely counsel to company executives on a variety of legal topics
• Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance

What we are looking for

• The successful candidate should have 3-6 years of attorney-level experience in a law firm/in-house legal department
• JD and a member in good standing of the bar in an US state
• You will have strong drafting and negotiation skills
• You must thrive on working as a team in a dynamic and fast moving environment
• You will monitor Outbrain’s compliance with applicable laws
• You will have an ability to build credibility with very experienced internal and external stakeholders
• You will be confident, collaborative and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• You will have an appetite for being a key player in a rapidly growing environment and ability to move quickly
• You will have a global perspective with experience in matters involving multiple regions or legal areas
• You will have a high degree of professional ethics and integrity
