Solution Architect, Big Data

We have 4 development groups in Adform owning 4 different solutions: High Load Platform, Web Platform, Applications Platform and Big Data Platform. Solution architecture and long-term technology vision is supervised and owned by dedicated solution architect with a help and guidance from Head of Solution architecture. All roles report directly to SVP Projects and Architecture, and we work as a team to align and help each other to deliver on Adform strategy and customer expectations.

About the role
You will lead the technical direction of overall Big Data solution architecture. You will set the architectural direction of the project, which is in line with the global architectural vision.
You will advise Group Directors and Product Directors on how to achieve solid, efficient, scalable and maintainable solutions. You will work with Domain Architects, Technical Leads and Software Engineers to achieve this. You will be part of solution architects’ team.

Your responsibilities

• Be part of decision-making team on architecture, infrastructure, and underlying technologies of our entire platform
• Pro-actively escalate architectural challenges, risks, and blockers to senior stakeholders by setting up a workgroup and organizing meetings
• Work with product management to define what they want, what they need, and what we can deliver.
• Create high-level architecture diagrams and document solutions. Support domain architects in creating low-level architecture diagrams and implementation documents.
• Identify functionality which potentially could be platform functionality and be useful across Adform solutions.
• Drive technical communities and events, both inside Adform and externally.
• Spend time being deeply involved in developing and reviewing core functionality and infrastructure in several parts of our business.
• Keep up to date by exploring new technologies, tools, methodologies, frameworks through meetups, conferences, and similar means.
• Find optimizations both within the application stack and across the infrastructure. Share your findings and drive higher discipline across organizations. Triage stability and performance issues in production and improve system reliability through configuration and code design best practices.
• Work on other strategic responsibilities as assigned by the direct manager

We believe you have/are
Job related knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of Hadoop and other industry Big Data Frameworks
• Extensive knowledge of distributed processing systems like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Storm or similar
• Extensive knowledge of computer system, operating system, security measures, database management and web platforms (both in hardware and software)
• Excellent ability to communicate technical information
• 5+ years of experience in creating various diagrams architecture, workflow, swim lane, sequence diagram, context diagram etc. utilizing Enterprise Architecture
• Deep knowledge of the technology stack
