Job Overview

We’re building out our Agile Practice to support our engineering teams as we grow at pace. The Practice helps the business deliver value sooner, reliably and sustainably to continually improve and surface reality in an environment that provides a rewarding and happy place to work. To do this we support flow, learning, improvement and communication with a variety of Agile and Lean principles, practices and through expert facilitation.

As an Agile Practitioner you’ll support the creation of a Practice that will exemplify modern agile principles. You’ll help evolve our practices and framework for delivery and provide expertise in ways of working as well as hands on facilitation and support to enable the teams to thrive whilst providing delivery data to inform decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Coach the team on ways of working and how to get the most out of practices - including Kanban, XP, Agile. To enhance InfoSum's ways of working - which are evolving over time
  • Support the scaled delivery structure and contribute to its evolution as a framework that provides clarity and supports the flow of value and information.
  • Guide and champion the breaking of work into small valuable batches for implementation and encourage practices that support the ability to forecast based on data.
  • Facilitate events for the team, product and process improvement while providing data to drive actionable insights (including continuous planning and refinement, retrospectives).
  • Visualise work, status, dependencies and delivery. Make working practices explicit and apply strategies to aid collaboration across teams.
  • Promote and model behaviours that encourage psychological safety and openness.

You’re passionate about helping individuals and teams achieve their potential. Someone who wants to learn and experiment. You’re a confident facilitator, comfortable working closely with teams to help them continuously deliver value, learn and improve. We value diversity of skills and backgrounds, so you may have an unconventional career path. You’ll also have:

  • Proven experience contributing to Agile teams in a software development environment.
  • Hands-on experience of a variety of Agile and/or Lean frameworks, skills and practices. These could include a combination of: Scrum, XP, Kanban, Facilitation, DevOps, Change delivery, Team topologies, ToC, DDD,and Systems Thinking.
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving great outcomes with iterative delivery, experimentation, fast feedback and using data to drive improvement.
  • Ability to tailor communication to individuals and demonstrate situational awareness.
