Job Overview

The Business Technology (BT) department combines several groups: Security, infrastructure, production, product, IT, and Anti-fraud ; MIS, finance, HR, Business & Marketing ; BT Engineering, architecture, integration and internal development ; IT, office infrastructure, networking and support ; BT Operations, cross department: processes, analytics, project management and CIO office.

Job brief

We are looking for a professional Operations Director to PMO the CIO office and oversee the Business Technology (BT) group activities both operationally and strategically.

Reporting to

Outbrain CIO

Operations Director responsibilities include:

  • CIO Office PMO, including executive decks, deliverables tracking etc.
  • Build and manage the group’s budget including planning VS actual with FP&A.
  • Improve and develop BT’s operational processes management and best practices
  • Lead the analysis domain and team of the BT group, convert data into insights and follow up with an execution plan to meet company goals. quarterly plan with KPIs scheduled in advance.
  • Governance of the Group’s cross activities, manage BT teams’ collaboration to increase group productivity, e.g., strategic offsites.
  • Group’s internal communications, e.g., BT All-hands meetings.


  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experienced in budgeting and forecasting. The ability to interpret financial data and allocate budgets.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and high presentation skills.
  • Collaborative and human skill oriented.
  • Managerial and leadership experience and traits.
  • Analytic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with databases and project management software.
  • Proven experience in project management at large scale.
  • A degree in Business Management, or a relevant Operations Manager degree.
  • Advantage: Experience with information technology, security, and development.
