Based in Paris/ Remote work possible

Our Corporate Contracts Legal Team is seeking a Legal Counsel responsible for supporting a broad range of legal and contractual matters globally. The successful candidate will have strong experience in contract drafting, negotiations and management for various type of agreements (service agreements, purchase agreements, lease agreements, IT agreements, Finance agreements, etc.) mostly under French and UK/US law. He/she will also contribute to the ongoing contract management project for the centralization on a single platform of the contracts falling within the scope of the Corporate Contracts Legal team.

He/she will also help improve the existing and participate in the drafting of new templates for contracts to improve our knowledge management base.

Finally, the successful candidate must also have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced international environment, prioritize a dynamic workload, and possess excellent judgment. Strong interpersonal skills are required as the role will partner closely with cross-functional teams across Criteo.

Definite-Term Contract Period

18 months

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities are focused around these points:

  • Support the various business partners (procurement team, Finance teams, R&D, etc) in their day-to-day requests.
  • Support and partner with the business partners to negotiate and conclude all types of agreements such as, service agreements, purchase agreements, lease agreements, IT agreements, Finance agreements, etc.
  • Support and partner with the treasury team to negotiate and conclude various types of finance agreements.
  • Improve existing templates or create new templates of agreement, in coordination with business partners.
  • Contribute to the contract management project for the centralization of contracts on a single platform.
  • Advise on legal processes and execution of contracts, in coordination with business partners.

Requirements

You should be/have :

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in-house with a multinational company.
  • Significant experience in contract drafting, negotiations and management for a wide range of different agreements (service agreements, purchase agreements, lease agreements, IT agreements, finance agreements, etc.).
  • Sound knowledge of UK/US contract law.
  • A real team player who is also comfortable working with minimal oversight on certain projects and making decisions independently, but also can take direction as well as collaborate within a collegial environment depending on the project.
  • A sound business partner with strong interpersonal skills with ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and teams, providing excellent support when needed. Sense of humor and positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Professional and dedicated to team objectives and client service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and French language required).
