In this role, you’ll serve as the internal champion of VideoAmp’s user base. You’ll work with teams across the organization – sales, service, design, product, engineering – to ensure that our users’ needs and expectations influence every strategic decision made within the company.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior User Experience Researcher who will be responsible for understanding how the world’s largest agencies, advertisers and publishers do business today and help our teams design forward-thinking solutions that address the shifting needs in the evolving space of advertising technology. Our user researchers are passionate problem solvers who look for unique methods to gain insights. They are most effective at their jobs in a fast-paced environment, under internal and external pressure, and against the odds.

Reporting to the Director of User Experience Research, you’ll be responsible for building a detailed picture of the various personas that comprise VideoAmp’s current and prospective user base. You’ll gather data in the field and bring those learnings back to influence internal discussions, advocating for our users at every opportunity.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee all foundational, formative and evaluative research efforts for a line of business
  • Select and employ appropriate research methodologies
  • Synthesize insights and communicate findings to drive strategic product decisions
  • Foster relationships product, design, engineering and sales/service teams to gain access to users and report back on findings

You have experience:

  • Working with cross-functional teams to help drive decisions
  • Producing impactful reports and presentations that turn raw data into actionable insights
  • With a wide-range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, with a focus on more strategic research
  • Performing at a high-level with little oversight
  • Working under the unique constraints of a B2B product with a narrow user base

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a UX-related field (human-computer interaction, human factors, behavioral research, or graphic design), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience as a qualitative researcher in the private sector
