Project Manager - Workplace Operations (Real Estate)

Job Overview

The Workplace Operations Project Manager is a critical member of the Global People Experience team. One of the team’s key objectives is creating workplace environments that foster partnership, community, psychological safety and belonging. Reporting to the VP, Global People Experience & DEIB, you will primarily be responsible for Real Estate projects globally and will collaborate with key partners and vendors on DV’s design guidelines, operational standards, and real estate strategy. You will also have the opportunity to support Workplace and Employee Experience initiatives that could benefit from your project management expertise.

Real Estate Project Management

  • Working closely with key partners across the People Experience team and the organization to ensure our workplaces are safe, and foster partnership and community
  • Delivering multiple projects - of varying sizes and scopes including build outs and remodels – concurrently
  • Meet deadlines and budgets for each project
  • Collaborate cross functionally to influence and drive strategies to provide the best real estate locations and builds while controlling costs and schedules
  • Partner closely with Finance through strategic planning and annual operating plans to ensure that new sites are appropriately budgeted.
  • Work with legal on drafting, negotiating and executing various site agreements
  • Engage and actively manage external vendors to ensure that work of the highest quality is being delivered
  • During the final phases of a project, you can expect to be on-site for up to a week
  • Build effective strategic relationships with real estate external suppliers to drive and execute strategies.
  • Clearly communicate project status to stakeholders and project team.

Workplace Operations

  • Managing day to day to operations of the office
  • Lead coordination between building facilities, vendors, repair contractors, etc.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information to provide recommendations for business decisions related to the office space and operations

Who you are

  • 5+ years of project management experience within real estate
  • Experience leading complex real estate project budgets for a wide range of projects up to $30M+
  • Proven track record managing vendors on complicated projects.
  • In-depth understanding of real estate processes and terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and track budgets and cost reports.
  • Contract and agreement negotiation experience, including lease negotiation.
  • Facilities/operations management experience
  • Construction experience, with some working knowledge of MEP systems, workplace technology integration, lighting, acoustics, FF&E and interior detailing
  • Must be able to travel internationally and domestically
