Director, Emerging Business Development

Job Overview

The Business Development team is ultimately responsible for creating and curating the Amobee partner ecosystem to provide our customers with the best access to leading media, data and technology partners in the industry. We are looking for a Director, Emerging Business Development with experience creating market-leading partnerships. In this role, you will identify and pursue unique, emerging data partnership opportunities in collaboration with product, sales and business development leadership. You will identify and vet partner opportunities in-line with our company and data product strategy, create an in-depth business case, lead the partner discovery sessions and close and manage those data partnerships to drive joint revenue and strategic growth. This role reports into our VP, Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 75% of time sourcing and negotiating partner deals and 25% of time creating strategic impact and maximizing value from those partner deals
  • Collaborate with BD, product and sales leadership to identify new, emerging data partnerships that support overall company goals, product strategy and BD initiatives
  • Build in-depth business cases that support the revenue and goals of emerging partnership initiatives
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to define and lead an agenda, present to and collaborate with industry-leading companies to determine areas of partnership opportunity
  • Manage the strategic deal review, negotiate terms with partners and close the opportunities
  • Build and manage the go-to-market of strategic data partner initiatives in collaboration with product and marketing to create packaged offerings for commercial teams.

  • Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant professional experience, ideally in business development, strategic alliances or product management within the ad technology or similar space
  • Experience sourcing and negotiating opportunities with a key skill set in identifying innovative deals and deal terms involving products with unique data sets
  • Proven track record managing and developing accounts, revenue streams, and GTM initiatives for cutting edge or first of its kind products and/or services
  • A business leader who is able to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally
  • Ability to research, create a strategy, build a detailed business case in collaboration with finance and stakeholders, formulate a partnership and program vision and execute against that plan
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, simultaneously, in an extremely fast paced environment
